winter snorkelling in Sydney

I will spend 1 month in Sydney but sadly it is Winter time. Could anyone tell me what kind of wetsuit/drysuit I should wear in winter time? What about the water temperature in June/July?

Thanks.

Hi Raymond,

I am a Diving Instructor working in Thailand, where we have an average of 29degrees bottom temperature!!! But I learnt to dive in England, so I know how it feels to be in cold water!!!

Im sure you will have a great time, even though it is winter time. I would advise that you get yourself, or hire at least a 7mm wetsuit so that you are comfortable. That way aswell you will be able to have nice long dives and not have to end it because you are getting cold!!!

If you are Dry Suit trained already then you may want to consider hiring that instead, but you need to have had training in the previously, or have the training when you get there.

If you want any further information on diving in general, or diving in Thailand then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Happy diving!! Emma
