Any recommendatons

Can anyone help with some recommendations? I am an Australian living in Mexico.. In January I hope to be diving in Australia with my Mexican partner. Any suggestions for great diving on the east coast.? We will be in Byron definitely but are prepared to go anywhere for a good dive. Have been thinking about Cairns. Am I right to be worried about the weather and jellyfish in January? Our last dive was in Cozumel so I need to find something pretty good to make an impression. Also will be in Tasmania - any good diving ? Thanks

Hi,

Firstly the reefs of Townsville are better that at Cairns, I don't know enough about the jelly fish issue, perhaps someone else can assist.

Tasmania has some great diving, try Eaglehawk Neck and Bicheno.

Have fun.

Travelling to Palau was not as easy as we would have liked as we couldn't get direct flights from Australia. Although this was a pretty long journey, it proved a very worthwhile one as diving Palau is just fantastic.
