In an unbelievable statement made by a prominent 'so called' conservationalist by the name of Ken Thurlow from ECOfishers New South Wales he claims the critically endangered Grey Nurse Shark 'has had its day'!
"The grey nurse shark is an animal that is 70 million-years-old and it may have reached its use-by-date in terms of evolution. It has serious problems reproducing," he said.
Ok Ken ... what about all turtles, the Giant Panda etc ... we could live without them - who needs them.
I would say the species fishermanus ignorans has reached its use-by-date and should consider making themselves extinct very soon - else our planet is in for a bit of a shock for our next generations.

What an ignorant fool! I guarantee you , he hoses his drive way coz there isn't a drought and throw's he rubbish out his car window. He's a closet ecobasher! Raping and pillaging the vast blue for short term benefits! Greed!
This is the same group that kicked up a massive fuss and scare campaign over the Batemans Bay Marine Park. It is the people like him that give fishing and fisherman a bad name. Shame Ken Shame.

In fact the Grey Nurse does have serious trouble reproducing itself. The Otway study concluded that it is headed for extinction in NSW. As a 'recovery' plan Otway suggested banning all commercial an recreational fishing from the coast to the continental shelf. Also the banning of beach meshing 365 days a year. this might put the extinction off by a few decades. No wonder the plan hasn't been implemented.

I have a confession to make: I am an addict, addicted to diving. Some people may call it an obsession, but for me it's just a love of the ocean and all the things within it.
