storm damage to GBR

Given Typhoon Larry and Typhoon Monica, what areas of the GBR have been affected the most and have been diminshed for diving purposes?

We are planning to visit/dive Queensland in the beginning of June and are trying to determine where we should base (oringally we were planning for the Cairns/Port Douglas area).

Any advise would be helpful. Thanks.
