Diving with TAKA

Hi, thinking about doing a liveaboard out of Cairns with TAKA during the Dwarf Minke Whale season - June/July. Has anyone dived with TAKA - recommend them??? Thx Marty

Hey, Did a trip with TAKA last year and had a fantastic time. The staff were terrific, the sites were great and the boat was very comfortable and well set up. You didn't have to do anything other than put your gear on and get in the water. There was ample time for all meals etc and they offered a wide range of courses to do if diving wasn't enough! I had a great trip with them - shame the weather got a bit rough one night and the boat got a bit too rocky for most of us! You'll have a great time I'm sure! Especially the Minke Whale trip - I only went diving :o( Good luck

Of all the books I have ever read on Australian dive sites all of them list South West Rocks, more specifically Fish Rock Cave in New South Wales as a premier diving spot with the longest underwater sea cave in the Southern Hemisphere and of course the resident Grey Nurse Sharks.
