Full Face Masks

As a fairly new diver i have on a few occassions found myself trying to breath through my nose and thought it might be the go to get a full mask. Can anyone shed a bit of light on the use of a FFM and any advantages / dissadvantages.

Cheers

Mal

I can firstly tell you one disadvantge is the price of alot of the full face mask. But with trying to breath through your nose you will get use to breathing when diving it might just take a bit of practice. Keep going.

any questions please e-mail me rmathieson@msn.com

A full face mask is not the way to go for inexperienced diver. The air space is much bigger, making it more difficult to equalize and to clear. If the FFM was flooded and you could not clear it, you would also struggle much more to take it off, as there are more straps. Use a normal mask, and keep practicing your breathing technique.
