Fiji

I have a group of friends that are looking to head to Fiji next year. Do you have any ideas on where to head to keep divers and non divers entertained and the best time of year to go?

Cheers

Kadavu Island is located approx 60 miles south of the capital city,Suva. Diving season runs all year-round and it is a first class on this island. You can hire a boat and dive from the offshore reefs of Malawai, visit the hard and soft corals in the Coral Gardens, or snorkel amongst the abundant tropical fish life inside Great Astrolobe Reef. Otherwise Namena Island Resort, here you can do a superb snorkelling and scuba diving both offshore and on the Namena Barrier Reef. There are various activies for you to pick out on Namena;Ocean kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, trekking, birdwatching, canoes, bech volleyball.

Try the Hideaway resort on the mainland, great diving and snorkeling and the PADI instructors are very good.

A Turtle Nursery At WakatobiA Turtle Nursery At Wakatobi
Sea Turtles can live to be 100 years old, but most don’t survive their first few days. In the wild, the tiny hatchlings typically encounter a gauntlet of predators as they hatch and make their way from beachside nests to open water, and they remain especially vulnerable those first few months of life. When nature is in balance, this attrition is a normal part of the circle of life. But when turtles become threatened by factors such as habitat loss, or predators like fish and birds, they may need a little extra help to maintain a normal population. This is where Wakatobi Dive Resort has stepped in.
