Queensland shore dives

Hi Everyone! My husband and I have recently moved to Boyne Island, Queensland (near Gladstone) from the United States and we are very excited about diving in Australia. However, we are still a ways away from Cairns and other large cities that offer trips out to the reef. So far we have been to Lady Musgrave and also did some shore dives in Bargara (near Bundaberg). Does anybody know of any other good shore diving spots in Queensland?

Meghan,

Unfortunately, there are very few shore diving sites in Queensland. Bargara is without doubt the best site. Handful of sites of Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast. Most of us Queensland divers only do boat dives. Best shoring sites are in Southern Australia.
