Help in Port Douglas

I am going to Port Douglas in about a month for my honeymoon. My fiance and I are PADI certified and would like to dive as much as we can. We are staying at the Sheraton in Port Douglas. I would prefer to stay away from large boats--i like the intamacy of the smaller ships. Any suggestions for day trips? Please email me at estateatty@aol.com

Thanks!

Hi, I spent two weeks in Port Douglas in late September this year.

Far and away the best option if you're serious about diving the GBR is on a liveaboard. However, this wasn't an option in my case.

Instead I did three day trips with three different operators - Quicksilver, Posiedan and Haba. Definately the best operator for certified divers (remembering the operators cater to snorklers and introductory divers as well) was Poseidon. The gear was good and they were pretty professional. Their website is http://www.poseidon-cruises.com.au

Hope this helps!
