what camera

i hav just bought a vdeo camera housing that can be used with many cameras but am unsure what would be best to use, i know that i want hi8 but would any1 out there be able to sugest a camera? also is there much difference between the older hi8 cameras any the new ones in video quality? thanx heaps!!
