How to assemble diving gear?

Hi,

I am a newbie to scuba diving. I just returned from a holiday in Singapore and came across a dive shop having a massive discount. Given the strong Aussie dollar, I bought a whole set of diving gear, including wetsuit, bootie, fins, BCD, and regulator.

Since I don't dive regularly, I always keep forgetting on how to assemble BDC with regulator. I know this is very embarassing... , but can you guys give me some tips on how to do it?

Also, are there any internet links or books on diving equipment? Silly me, I also need some guidance on how to maintain them.

Thanks in advance.

Hi...
it would probably be in your best interests to do a refresher course to learn how to assemble your gear....its one of the most important aspects of diving....you need to be familiar with your gear and know how to operate it properly before you enter the water....after all.....your gear is your life line.

I am a DM in Sydney. I could do the refresher that the other guy was talking about. Drop me a line and let me know if you are still having probs, and if you are in or near sydney.
