Peter Zagol's biscuit star

Hi Peter,
I am not a real knowledgable fellow regarding seastars, all I could comment is that your one (Pentagonaster duebeni) was/is probably feeding on the coral polyps. Most seastars are predators or scavengers, so I think it is quite possible that this little red beast got the better of the coral.

cheers

Of all the books I have ever read on Australian dive sites all of them list South West Rocks, more specifically Fish Rock Cave in New South Wales as a premier diving spot with the longest underwater sea cave in the Southern Hemisphere and of course the resident Grey Nurse Sharks.
