Mooloolaba is a Sunshine Coast town that boasts beach and river frontages. It has an all-weather port, which is home to the Auckland-Mooloolaba and Sydney-Mooloolaba Yacht races. The Mooloolaba Triathlon Festival is held at Mooloolaba Beach every year in April.
Mooloolaba provides a harmonious mix of beach, harbour, parks and shopping with prime coastal strip panoramas. It is a great place to enjoy a holiday by the sea and boasts of international standard marinas. Mooloolaba is the home base of a trawling fleet and pilot station for Moreton Bay River, coastal, deep sea and game fishing. Mooloolaba Beach was voted Queensland's Cleanest Beach in 2002.
Don't miss the popular 'Under Water World' oceanarium. Here you can experience live sharks and watch a seal show which is performed daily. Another attraction is The Wharf, a shopping and entertainment centre just next door to Under Water World.
The newly redeveloped Esplanade has a range of restaurants from beachfront cafes to fine dining and many boutiques for that extra special gift. The Esplanade is becoming a cosmopolitan area to relax, eat, watch the surf or just grab a coffee.
