Tangaroa Blue Foundation

Tangaroa Blue Foundation coordinates the Australian Marine Debris Initiative. This project enables communities and individuals to register their local stretch of coastline to monitor for marine debris. All information submitted is included in the Australian Marine Debris Database which is used to find practical ways of reducing the amount of debris being found at each registered site. Along the Great Barrier Reef, Tangaroa Blue Foundation also coordinates the ReefClean project, working with communities to remove and prevent marine debris impacting the Great Barrier Reef.

By registering at www.tangaroablue.org volunteers are provided with all materials and training they will need to participate in the project, helping create a unique picture of the state of the coastline around the country. Everyone is invited to join the project, to register just visit the website or send us an email and check us out on Facebook!
