This photo was taken outside The Blowhole at Lady Elliot Island, Great Barrier Reef. We had 25 meters vis; clean and warm - Sun shining, a wonderful day. This big old turtle came straight at me not at all bothered by my being there. Using an S40 Canon. Photocomp January '05 - Open

- I exhaled and looked down along the mooring line. I could feel the slight current tugging as I held on and switched on my camera.
