Psychedelic Urchin

Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at The Gravel Loader, Shellharbour. I really love taking macro shots of sea urchins, at first glance they appear to be simple black spiky things littering the ocean floor. Mother Nature never ceases to amaze me. It seems ironic that such an incredible display of colour and structure be hidden from so many. Photocomp August '04 - Open
