Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Inscription Point, Sydney on 19th September, 2004. I always thought that these were just an orange sponge, until this day. I'd never seen tentacles coming out of them before. I'm now assuming it's some kind of anemone (yellow zoanthids - underwater). That's one of the many things I love about diving, you never know what you might discover. Photocomp September '04 - Open

Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Inscription Point on the 19th September, 2004. This viz was pretty ordinary so focusing on the macro seemed to be the way to go. Photocomp September '04 - Open

Taken with Canon PowerShot A80 at Inscription Point on the 19th September, 2004. With average viz and macro on the agenda that day I was focusing small and nearly had a kitten when what I thought was kelp moved into my range of vision and stared right back at me. Photocomp September '04 - Open

Taken with Canon PowerShot S40 at Inscription Point on the 19th September, 2004. I love these little critters but I usually end up with a shot of a rock. Like fish, they seem to know when you have your camera pointed at them and disappear. Photocomp September '04 - Open

Taken with Canon PowerShot S40 at Inscription Point, Sydney on the 19th September, 2004. Mediocre viz made it a macro day. We discovered 5 nudis' new to us this day (unfortunately the pics were as mediocre as the viz). Photocomp September '04 - Open

Taken on Canon PowerShot S40 at Inscription Point, Sydney on the 19th September, 2004. We were doing a safety stop at the end of our dive and old bluey here thought my buddies camera was on the menu. While she was busy fighting him off, he seemed totally oblivious to me and my camera. Photocomp September '04 - Open

I found these white Jewel Anemones attached to a black coral tree on the buckets of the Coolooli, Sydney, today something I thought I would never see. Photocomp September '04 - Open
