Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. It's about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA and 50 per cent larger than Europe, but has the lowest population density in the world - only two people per square kilometre.

Cuttlefish eggs, taken on The Oakland Wreck, Port Stephens, NSW 24-06-04. I really didn't know what I took a picture of until some one on the surface told me what they were. Sad to think the little blighters died after leaving such an awesome sight. Taken with a Canon PowerShot A80. Photocomp August '04 - Open

Taken at "The Docks" Jervis Bay with a Coolpix 5000 in an Ikelite Housing, 2x Ikelite DS125 strobes. I was a bit lucky in that I was following the weedy on a Night Dive taking random shots of it when it happened to pass over the Starish, I was pretty happy with the result!

Taken at Seal Cove Albany, WA. Dozens of them right under the boat - spent half the dive on the moring, no trouble finding boat again.

Taken at a depth of 15.5 metres using an Olympus C-750UZ. Visibility was unusual for the season...15 metres! Also saw a wobbegong that had a dangling hook with a trailing fishing line, protruding from the upper portion of it's mouth...pity. Photocomp August '04 - Open
