Australia is the sixth largest country in the world. It's about the same size as the 48 mainland states of the USA and 50 per cent larger than Europe, but has the lowest population density in the world - only two people per square kilometre.
The first dive I had with my wife was at Shark Point, Clovelly, NSW, where she met my long time buddy Bart the blue wrasse late one afternoon. Photocomp December '04 - Open

I happened to catch this guy as he was out & about, on the move and fully exposed. It's great to get to see all the eel's body...and not just the head. Julian Rocks, Byron Bay, NSW - Dec 2004. Photocomp December '04 - Open

Taken ascending from Scarborough Ledge (off Scarborough near Perth, WA) on a morning dive. Have no idea what the species is, however, the tentacles trailed for quite a distance! Captured with an Olympus UZ C-750. Depth was a mere 5 metres. Found the subject quite interesting.
